Bushels of Fun!

We have been having lots of fun this week! We are learning about apples and the color red. We cut apples in half and used them as stamps on our apple trees.




Then we all dressed up in red!


We went around the house and tried to find anything that was red and put in in a bag! They did great with this!!


Preston found a red tomato!


Cullen found a red scarf.


Here's what we found!

Then Nate came over and we made applesauce muffins! They are lining the muffin tins.

Then we got to go outside and eat OJ popsicles made in the Zoku...yum! (Yes, that's my kid in with no pants on...I'm picking my battles)

Since Preston was sleeping while we made the muffins, he got the most important job: Taste Tester!

Busy Hands, Happy Hearts!

We have been doing some fun fine motor skills activities. Here is Preston sorting the pom poms into the ice cube trays. He did great! Only put one pom-pom into each slot.



And here's Cullen working on putting those pom-poms into a water bottle. He did super!


I've never seen the boys be so still and quiet for 15 minutes...they loved it!


Morgan sorted the pom-poms into the corresponding color on the egg carton. She is saying "cheese" here.


On the first day of fall last week, we went for a nature walk. They had a blast!



We also had fun putting on stickers while we named the parts of our face. It was hard to get a good shot of everyone!


We made a handprint fall picture by painting their arms brown for the trunk/branches, and used our fingertips dipped in red and yellow paint to make the leaves. They did a great job!

We, (or rather, I, in the name of science) caught a grasshopper so the kids could look at it up close. Morgan promptly named it Buzzward. They liked it alot better when they realized he couldn't get out of the container!

Fingerpaint Time!

Today I thought it would be fun to do fingerpainting! They all seemed to enjoy it! I'm sure there will be many more days of fingerpainting in the future!




Who says fingerpaints are just for paper??? Bellies are a great canvas too!
